Today, on the first day of the new session, the 16 Liberal Democrat MEPs have been officially sworn in to the European Parliament. The MEPs were elected as a result of the Liberal Democrats’ best ever European Election result in the party’s history.
The MEPs were elected as part of an unambiguous campaign to stop Brexit and wasted no time by wearing ‘Stop Brexit’ t-shirts into the Parliament. The Liberal Democrats continue to show ourselves to be the strongest Remain force in British politics and will continue to stand up for the people who have put their faith in the Liberal Democrats to ‘Stop Brexit’.
